Latest version: 1.1 (updated 2010-07-12)
F2 is a fast loading flexible width theme for WordPress. F2 is built on top of the Fluid Blue theme.

F2 WordPress theme
Features and notes
- Flexible width (fluid width) layout. This means the layout shrinks and grows to fit display windows.
- Two sidebars. One or both of the sidebars can be optionally turned off.
- Customizable header, and much more options available in the ‘F2 Settings’ page in admin panel.
- Supports all new WordPress features like nested comments, comments paging, sidebar widgets, post tags and gravatars.
- Support for custom menus in WP 3.0. (new in F2 v1.1)
- Compatible with WordPress v2.8 and above. The theme is not compatible with older versions of WordPress. If you are particular about hanging on to older WP versions, try Fluid Blue, the precedessor to this theme.
- Valid XHTML and CSS.
- The theme is tested successfully in latest versions of all major browsers. Except a few minor issues, the theme works well in IE 6 too.
- Supports localization.

If a changing window size slowly error does not appear
Theme ver 1.0.7, Win XPSP3, IE 7, win w size ~1360 points
That’s strange because such a thing hasn’t happened for anyone else (at least as far as I know). Did you make any changes to the css or templates? Can you tell me exactly at which page this is happening so that I can check?
Hi Srini,
I find that, when we click on the author name link instead of showing:
Archive of entries posted by author name
it shows:
Archive of entries posted by admin
Hi Anup. It depends on your profile settings, how you choose your display name to be. But I guess you already figured that out because I just visited your website and it shows your name instead of ‘admin’.
In standalone wp it works fine – but in wpmu it seems not to work. For all users it shows ‘admin’.

The profile settings in all the above is fine.
Yes indeed! I have not tested the theme much with WPMU. I’ll check and get back to you. Thanks anyway for reporting this issue.
Hello Srini, Wow. So beautiful and so simple. Thanks. Just wonder. Where is the “search” box and the “calendar”. I can’t find them on my 1.0.7 theme I just downloaded but they appear on the screenshot? Please help!
You can find the ‘search’ widget and ‘calendar’ widget in the widgets section of the WP admin. You can just add those to your sidebar and it will start appearing.
Hi Srini,
I have recently set comments to 25 comments per page (Discussion Settings + Last page displayed by default, and older comments at top). However, it is not happening.
Can you let me know how to solve it?
It seems I got it – in threaded comments, I guess wordpress counts one thread as single comment
Yes, that’s how it is. WP counts one thread as a single comment when it comes to paging.
Hi,
I use your Theme in my Bog, too.
There is a problem with dateformat and timeformat. You have the format style hardcoded in the php-files, so the options inside WordPress don’t work.
I changed the php-files to
Maybe you want correct this in your next release for better support of this feature.
Christian
Christian, your coding is cut off, but I understand what you mean. The reason why I hardcoded date/time format is to support localization of the theme. In some languages the date and time format is different, so you have to include the format to the translatable strings.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I’ll try and think of a workaround for this problem. You too can suggest if you have a solution.
Hi Srini,
I couldn’t help you with the code, because my php-skills are very low at the moment.
Again my code without brackets:
your code:
span class="postdate" ?php the_time(__('j F Y, g:i a', 'f2')); ? /spanmy code:
span class="postdate" ?php the_date(); ? ?php the_time(); ? /spanHello Srini – What should be changed to increase the font size of “older entries” and “newer entries?” They are so small on my page I think people miss them.
thanks for your help
Just specify a bigger font size for
div.navigationin the styling.I want that one page (the front one) should have two side columns. I have tried to use the ‘template’ route. However, I am unable to make it so. I guess the default F2 settings (of single sidebar) takes priority(?)
Plz let me know how to do that – I guess there is some simple solution to it.
thanks
Anup
Anup, check this thread. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/309007
Let me know if that doesn’t help.
please help. the side bars will not contain the items in them.
Let me know what I can do. I have a very frustrated client on my hands.
Thanks
Gary
Gary,
http://www.bonnylinblog.com/wp-content/themes/f2/style.css has only 236 lines while the original style.css file has 611 lines. You probably erased half the contents of the file accidentally. That explains the sidebar issue.

Hi,
On Safari 4, comments get scroll bars that only scroll a few pixels. But it looks fine in Firefox and Opera. Check the page at: http://www.planetmike.com/goto/729 for an example. Is this a Safari/Webkit bug, or a bug in the theme? Thanks very much for your work! Mike
