Features and notes

  • Flexible width (fluid width) layout. This means the layout shrinks and grows to fit display windows.
  • Two sidebars. One or both of the sidebars can be optionally turned off.
  • Customizable header, and much more options available in the ‘F2 Settings’ page in admin panel.
  • Supports all new WordPress features like nested comments, comments paging, sidebar widgets, post tags and gravatars.
  • Support for custom menus in WP 3.0. (new in F2 v1.1)
  • Compatible with WordPress v2.8 and above. The theme is not compatible with older versions of WordPress. If you are particular about hanging on to older WP versions, try Fluid Blue, the precedessor to this theme.
  • Valid XHTML and CSS.

    Hi Srini.

I was looking at Tabbed Widget plugin. And it seems that F2 does not support it. I tried to add in functions.php of F2, the code as suggested in:

    http://konstruktors.com/blog/wordpress/322-tabbed-widgets-plugin-for-wordpress/#comment-7379

but seemingly, it did not yield desired result.

Can you plz look into this and test it out? Thanks.

Love the template! Er…my ‘Home’ (the static, main page for my site) is duplicated in the Nav Bar. Has this happened with anyone else? Is there a quick fix for this?

    It’s at KenFonzi.com

  3. Nomad says:

I just switched from an older version of K2 to this theme and it’s great. The only thing I’d like to see added is the support for random header images. Any possibility of adding that in the future? Keep up the great work!

  4. Nomad says:

    Ken,

Check out your “pages” and see if you have an extra one for the home. I bet you have one called “homepage”, delete that and you should end up with only the “home” tab along the nav bar.

    Hi ,
Thank you for this great theme,
I am using f2 in my site,
I need to remove ‘Comments are closed’ and ‘Tags : ‘ strings from my categories, pages and posts,
I can remove it from theme editor but i can not update theme if i do it,
Can you please add this as an option to Options page of theme?
    Thank you..

    Srini,

    Hi,

WordPress 2.9 comes with a new feature. Post Thumbnails Images.

    http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2009/12/23/new-in-wordpress-2-9-post-thumbnail-images/

Tried to activate it, but it seems F2 does not supports it. Not sure though.

It is a really cool feature that would be a nice fit for F2.

    Saludos,

    Looks great!

One question tho.. how do I edit and customize the tabs on the top navigation bar? For example I want to reorganize them and add a tab that is not a page, just a link.

  8. Kenn Chin says:

Great theme. Fast loading. Any fixed width version in the works? Tks in advance.

  9. JSK says:

    Hi Srini,

    Love the theme!

I’m not sure what is supposed to be on the default Feed tab, but mine doesn’t seem to be rendering correctly. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    JSK

Fantastic theme. Love it. Thank you very much!! There is a problem in Internet Explorer v7 (not v6 or Firefox; I have not tested in IE8). In IE7, when the width of the browser window is 1300px or wider, the left sidebar contents move to the right and cover up the post entry.

This is occurring on my customer’s large blog. I have a test version of his blog running on a different web host, and the problem occurs there as well. Because I modified the blog, I created a new test blog using F2 theme at http://keynotesupport.com/blogtest/ – it has one post and I have made NO changes. The problem occurs there as well.

I hope that you can figure this out as many people are getting the larger monitors! Thank you very much.
    Many Regards,
    Pat
