  1. Hi there,
    I wanted to congratulate you on the quotes collection plugin I have been using it successfully for a couple of months.
    I did wonder, if I wanted to alter the look of my quotes through css what would you recommend?

    kind regards

  2. Hi again,

    I’ve almost fixed the problem I had about displaying Japanese characters. It was to do with the way WordPress and phpmyadmin interact. Anyway, I was wondering, what do I need to edit in order to add a line break between the quote and the author/source.

    I’m modifying the plugin slightly to display words (Japanese characters) in the ‘quote’ section in a larger, bold font. I want the author and source (for me, the reading of the word and English translation) to appear below the ‘quote’. Where and how would I need to add a line break to achieve this?

    Apologies if this is simple, but I’m not fluent in CSS and the coding is dynamic, so I thought it might be more complicated.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Ah, it was as simple as just adding a line break instead of the hyphon! Is there any way of getting rid of the quotation marks around the quote? I’m not sure how to edit this section of code:

    $display = ““. wptexturize(str_replace(array(“rn”, “r”, “n”), ”,nl2br($random_quote[‘quote’]))) .”“;

  4. Hi Mike, good to know that your problem is now solved.

  5. Thanks for the quick reply! Everything is working and looks fine now. Please take a look – it’s on the sidebar of the main page of my site:
