If you are comfortable editing the plugin php file, you can change the sort order to list the links in alphabetical order. On line 14 of the srinis-links-page.php, look for the string ‘orderby=rating’ and change it to ‘orderby=name’. Refer http://codex.wordpress.org/wp_list_bookmarks for other options.

I’d also like to echo other people who said they like the links plugin.
With srinis-links-page, is there a way to change the sort order, so that instead of ordering by the link’s rating, they are simply listed by name in alphabetical order?

The plugin sorts the blogroll links based on ratings. So, you can control the order by rating the links. Highly rated links appear higher up in the list.

Haha! the word ‘plenty’ can be misleading, nothing major, but I’ve made quite a few changes with the styling. Here are the changes for the Evanescence theme in addition to the links page and tags support for 2.3.

– postmetadata for pages improved
– anchor texts in posts and comments now have a border-bottom. I received complaints earlier that anchors don’t stand out from the normal text
– archives page overhauled
– and many other subtle, but not so important changes with the layout alignment, colours, font sizes, etc..

Some of these changes based on my personal preferences… but I hope it has improved the theme a little bit and I think there are still many things that can be improved with the theme. And yes, you may want to apply these modifications to your hacked version, much appreciated. Thanks again, for using my work.

You can improve on them? How do you improve such great code? Seriously, though, I’d love to see the changes. Maybe, I could use them in the altered version of Evanescence that I use on my site. Thank you, once again, for such clean and readable code. Its just what a poor hack like me needs.

OMG, thank you for sharing your awesome links page plugin! I hope you continue to improve upon it and make it compatible with future WordPress versions.

I’ve been trying to find a replacement for the blogroll page plugin I was using (called “iMP Links 1.0″) which broke in WordPress 2.3 (the plugin author won’t be fixing it anytime soon). Your plugin is a work-saver! Works great! THANK YOU!
